This past Saturday, CdM’s World Love Organization (WLO) club hosted a bake sale at the Bonita Canyon Sports Park. They were looking to sell to hungry baseball goers and players. All proceeds will be used to donate to children in underdeveloped countries, and it will be either to buy school supplies for them, clothes, or seeds for growing food.
On a beautiful sunny day, WLO had baked treats and lemonade to sell to the public. There were strawberry shortcake cookies, red velvet cookies, chocolate brownies, and old-fashioned lemonade. Cookies were priced at $0.75, brownies at $1.50, and lemonade at $1 per cup. The brownies were the biggest hit as it sold the most while the strawberry cookies came in second. These unique baked goods are what attracted the customers and also the touching story WLO had in mind to use the money for the children. It was a successful event after all.
